Table cell separators partitions in iOS 10

I read a few related questions for how to deal with cell height animation changes in iOS 10. Based on a few answers, I was able to create a workaround to animate the cell contents, but I am surprised that the cell separator is broken in Apple's GM. It may be naive, but it seems that it will be sooner than before.

I ask a new question to make sure that I don’t miss something obvious. Is there any more efficient work in iOS 10 that doesn't include drawing faux cell dividers at the bottom of each cell?
