GetSupportActionBar (). setElevation (0) does not remove the shadow from the action bar

Question

I cannot remove the shadow from my action bar using

 getSupportActionBar().setElevation(0);

I think I'm doing everything right. HereMainActivity

Try using this approach instead .setElevation(0):

StateListAnimator stateListAnimator = new StateListAnimator();
stateListAnimator.addState(new int[0], ObjectAnimator.ofFloat(appBarLayout, "elevation", 0));
appBarLayout.setStateListAnimator(stateListAnimator);

If you want to return the height value to the default value:

value = getResources().getDimension(R.dimen.elevation);
stateListAnimator.addState(new int[0], ObjectAnimator.ofFloat(appBarLayout, "elevation", value));

Where R.dimen.elevation4dp is set (this is the default height value for Material Design)
