Elastic bobsled reuse of an existing balancing device

Can I reuse an existing load balancer with an elastic bean stitch?

As far as I could control the only way I could get this to work was the following:

• Create your environment as a single instance, and not balance the load. You will be that EB creates an auto-scaling group independently.

• Manually create a target group for the EB environment (in the EC2 console in the target groups)
