Is there downtime when using Azure Scaling?

I have two websites in a virtual machine with WHM / cPanel and MySql.

I want to move this to Azure and use vertical scaling. Website visits are usually stable, but three or four times a year there is a large increase in traffic, which historically caused great problems for the existing host.

I want to move it to the range of A5-A7 servers for vertical scaling.

I cannot find anything about whether there is downtime when Azure scales my virtual machine from A5 to A6 or something else.

Does anyone have any experience with this and can give me a definitive answer on whether there is downtime when using vertical scaling, and if there is downtime, then the kind of downtime I would expect

Thank you for your time.

Yes, it will perform downtime. Post on it

Azure will restart your virtual machine.

Quote from the page (I highlighted an important bit):

When considering resizing virtual machines, there are three key concepts that will affect how easy it is to resize your virtual machine.

  • . VM . , . Azure VM Standard_A0 - A7 Basic_A0 - A4. , VM "" - " ".

  • , . , , , , .

  • , . - Classic Resource Manager. , , .
