IOS 10 will ruin the Hebrew letter yud + chirik (יִ)

On iOS 10 in UILabel, the letter יִ(yud with a tweet below it) becomes displayed as a circle instead of how it should appear.

Other vowels and letters (e.g. יֵ יַ יֶ יֹ) are displayed in order.

I presented this as an error for apple (error id 28561355 at https://bugreport.apple.com ).

Even if an apple can fix this in a future version of iOS, is there anything I can do now to crack it to work? I can simply replace yud-chirik with a simple one, but I would prefer to keep the display as it should be.

Thank.

UPDATE: It seems that if I changed the font to the standard Apple font (instead of the font I used), then yud-chirik will appear, but the tweet will appear in the wrong place. It appears directly under the yuda, and not below with all the other vowels.
