PyCharm: using a template in a file template

Question

This question follows from what I asked last week - How to apply more than one function to the passed in a live template variable?

Now that I have a live template function called classNameFromFileName, I cannot use it in a file template.

I checked the "Enable Live Templates" checkbox on the file template editor page, and no combination #setor #[[ ]]#etc. will not work.

If I use a template, it just ends up putting the name of the Live Template function inside my new file, rather than actually calling the function.

PyCharm's help does not offer anything as an example - does anyone know how to call a live template function from a file template?

Now this is not possible. You can vote for these issues:

• Live template templates do not work properly in file templates
• Code Templates. Add the ability to use Live Templates or Live Template.
