Apple crashes after implementing silent notifications with PushKit

We have added silent notifications that require PushKit and the inclusion of VoIP in Info.plist

See Apple PushKit Doc

Now my application is rejected by Apple:

Your application announces VoIP support in the UIBackgroundModes key in your Info.plist, but does not include Voice over IP services. Please review your application to add VoIP features or remove the “voip” setting from the UIBackgroundModes key.

  • The application is not VoIP, so it does not require VoIP features.
  • Removing VoIP c UIBackgroundModescauses silent notifications to stop working.

Does anyone know what I should do?

What VoIP feature can I add (even if I don’t use it, just to get an overview)?

I asked Apple, but they returned with an auto-generated response with the same reason for the failure.

Permission Update -

  • We installed a third-party VoIP solution and implemented VoIP calls in our application. It’s awkward to be forced to add a function, but in our case it was right for our application.

  • On the iTunesConnect submission page, in the "Application Overview Information" section of the "Notes" section, I had to state that we have added a new VoIP call feature with steps for testing VoIP calls. This attracted reviewers' attention to the new VoIP call feature and application.
