Tramp. The box you are trying to add does not support the provider you are requesting

Question

I created a stray box, using it vagrant package, downloaded it and released it.
Then I did vagrant init <username>/<box>, which created the Vagrantfile. I even added a boxed version to the Vagrantfile.
Then I did vagrant up --provider virtualbox. This tries to get the window locally, and then when it cannot find it, I get an error:

The box you're attempting to add doesn't support the provider
you requested. Please find an alternate box or use an alternate
provider. Double-check your requested provider to verify you didn't
simply misspell it.

If you're adding a box from HashiCorp Atlas, make sure the box is
released.

I provided virtualbox, as the provider and virtual box work fine with the other boxes I use.

I realized that for some reason the tramp went bad. So to do a new installation of tramps did the trick.
