Angular 2 Http response generic error handler

Question

I am implementing an Angular 2 application that will make some API calls. I was wondering if there is any way to make a general error handler. For example, I want to redirect users to the login route if the API responds with 401 code. Is this possible?

I created the http helper method that I use from all my services. This at least centralizes all http activity through the app.
