How to reduce the size of the camera source when detecting text-based API mobile vision

How text recognition google vision api scans full screen for text scanning. I want a small rectangle to detect text and display recognized text below in the text box

You can control the size of the preview widget. Change this line https://github.com/googlesamples/android-vision/blob/master/visionSamples/ocr-reader/app/src/main/res/layout/ocr_capture.xml#L12 to whatever you want.
