The minimum version of Xcode to be downloaded to the application store (as of February 2016)

I am downloading the update to an existing application in the application store. I used Xcode 6.4, now in the latest Xcode (7.2), multiple task support on the iPad is a new addition, as well as bit code support. The archive file doubles the previous assembly, and when created, warnings about the launch of the file are displayed. Can I use Xcode 6.4 itself or the new Xcode 7.2.

Apple states that you must use the archive authentication feature to verify that it can be published to the App Store. Citation:
