NSNotification, when does the device time change (minutes)?

Is there a way that you can easily set up a notification when changing minutes in the system time for iOS devices?

I need to do some UI updates to change the time. I would like the user interface to be updated precisely on minute changes, and not just every 60 seconds through the NSTimer trigger.

There are no notifications provided by the API, but you can roll by yourself, having a background thread, polling the system time, and then sending a user notification to the user interface in the main thread.
