Plugin not found for 'gcloud' prefix in current project and in plugin groups [org.apache.maven.plugins, org.codehaus.mojo]

Question

I am trying to deploy and run the Google-pubsub sample code in a Google application using this to read a file. While running the deployment command, I encounter a build error.

This means that you have not included the gcloud maven plugin in pom.xml. But you should no longer use gcloud, rather using appengine. See the documentation here .
