was suggested for Google Summer code 2017 ( https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/archive/2017/projects/6341409154007040/ ) and it seems to be moving slowly in the right direction.
the current patch still has a lot of limitations and is not quite ready to merge, but it is a good sign.
