Eclipse delete arrow icons

When I click on some word inside the java editor, it marks it along with all occurrences, which is great. As you can see in my screenshot, I set it to green, this green color will also be displayed next to the slider on the right.

What I don't like: red marked arrows on the left, next to line numbers. They “show” me the events as well as they seem, but, frankly, they do not bring me any benefit, since the bright green markings are more quickly recognized by me than these arrows. Plus, and this is the annoying part, these arrows block the visibility of my debug points, which will be placed under such an arrow. Did you see that the second arrow actually hides the debug point? I also...

So: is there a way to disable these arrows using eclipse preferences?

The vertical ruler should be disabled.

Please find "Mark Occurrences" in the window → Settings. Then click the Annotations link, and then uncheck the Vertical Ruler box.
