How to show vertical bar in Outlook add-ins in Outlook Web App (OWA), in Outlook 2016 Mac and Windows

I am developing an add-in for the OWA add-in, Outlook 2016 for Mac and Windows. My requirement is to show the add -in vertically on the right side when reading and composing mail. For compilation, by default it is displayed as desired, but for reading it is displayed horizontally, which I want to show vertically. In short, I like to show my add-in exactly as the Evernote add-in shows .

Your help would be greatly appreciated. The next Evernote screen shot in OWA is what I want to show, including the location of the icons (in red).

Thanks in advance.
