If I omit the PG table with index, does the index still exist?

If I drop and re-create a Postgres table that is indexed, will the index still exist?

Do I need to discard and reindex the table after it is recreated, or do I just need to recreate the index in the new table and leave the cleanup of the old Postgres index?

In the Drop table, all related restrictions are deleted and indexed; you do not need to do any cleanups. Postgres will handle this.
