Reset css tables

We can always see such a selector in the Reset Css file:

table{table-collapse:collapse;table-spacing:0}

In my opinion, it is "border-spacing:0"useless, since a property "border-spacing"only works when the value of the property "border-collapse"is equal "separate". When the value "border-collapse"is equal "collapse", it ignores the property "border-spacing".

Is there something wrong with my understanding? Thank.

IMO is recommended to store reset there border-spacing: 0;, as if in a later style someone overrides table-collapsein separate?

If border-spacingnot from reset to 0, then they will have a default value, which should be reset with everything else.
