I am expanding an Excel Mac 2016 file that uses multiple connections to SQL Server using the built-in Microsoft Query service. The problem is that I canβt save the password on the connection: every time I open the file, Excel asks for a password for each connection, although it is always the same (and now I have 8 connections). A password or option is not displayed to store the password.
I checked every option in the menu, but I could not find this function. In addition, I tried to edit the connection string and add "; PWD =" or "; Password =", but no luck. It seems to me that login data and requests should be shared, but they are not.
There seems to be a difference between the Excel version for Mac and Windows. Perhaps this is not possible with the Mac. A similar publication refers to the option "Use trusted connection", but I do not see this on the Mac.
Excel - Microsoft Query - Logging on to SQL Server - Use Trusted Connection default setting
Thanks to everyone in advance.
