Enabling CSA in hostapd

I use hostapd_cli ( http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=hostapd_cli&sektion=8 ) to interact with my hostapd to change the channel. I use the chan_switch command to switch channels.

But this command failed because the message "CSA is not supported" as an error message. Any material on how I should solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

CSA is a channel switch declaration; which is included in the beacon signal, so that the connected station knows that the AP is changing the channel. This requires that device / hw / firmware can configure CSA-IE.

In your case, either the device does not support CSA, or supports it, but did not report it in its capabilities.

If you just want to change the channel, which will first disconnect the stations and then reconnect, then you can simply change the "channel" field in the hostapd.conf file and simply reload "kill -1".
