OwnCloud Downgrade not supported after apt-get update

I run the installation of ownCloud on Raspbian on RPi2, and I just ran:

apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade

Now I get the following message when I try to go to my own Cloud site in a browser:

Early reduction is not supported and may lead to unpredictable issues (from 8.2.2.2 to 8.1.5.2)

I did not make any changes and definitely did not make any demotion (knowingly). Files are stored on an external hard drive and do not seem to be affected. I have not used my cloud storage very actively (fortunately), so I wouldn’t mind if the data that I put there were lost, but I would like to save other data stored on the hard drive (outside my own Cloud folder), if possible. What do you suggest as the best way forward? I thought about just deleting my ownCloud via apt-get purge - or will it be non-poor or leave some junk on my system (maybe I will have to manually delete the database)? And how can I avoid this problem in the future?
