Can I change someone else’s pull request and put it back in my thread?

GitHub explains that you can fork, modify, commit, click and run a transfer request. They also explain that you can still change, lock, click, and the request will be updated on the website.

I would like to know if it is possible to do the same, but not be the author of the plug? I am the owner of the repo with pull requests, which I would like to fix, but still discuss later ... I tried to push my changes to the repo-author (assuming that some kind of correct access will be calculated), but access is denied.
