Is it possible to tell Google Translate not to translate a section of a site, in this case, part of a section <head>?
For example:
<head>
<title>Post by John Doe</title>
<meta content="Article by John Doe, some brand name here" name="description" />
</head>
In this example, John Doe and some real brands can be “translated” to something else, usually it will be a wrong translation.
According to https://cloud.google.com/translate/v2/faq#technical <span class="notranslate"> </span> around the text in html can be used for this. But, using the span class in the title or description of the page, you will get showing that <span class="notranslate"> </span>for users in the search results, like a regular page title or description text.
