Mailchimp remembers remote subscribers

Question

I am currently testing using API v3.0 to integrate MailChimp with an existing form on my website.

When I work, I need to check the code regularly. My problem is that when I delete my test subscriber via the Mailchimp interface and try to reuse this letter again through my form, my form errors:

 "title":"Member Exists","status":400 error code. 

Does Mailchimp save or cache subscribers email addresses? I looked around and can not find the old records. More than 48 hours have passed since the use of test emails.
