Mobile service and application service.

Can you explain the difference and architecture of each of them?

Mobile services are now stacked as mobile applications in the App Service. You should start using Mobile Apps instead of mobile services.

Mobile applications are the new version of Mobile Services. But be careful, most of the documentation that you will find at this current date is for an older version. Some of the features, such as Node.js, are very poorly documented for mobile applications.
