Okay, so I need to implement a system of statistics / data / data sources.
I basically want to periodically transfer data to "root" and process and update the corresponding properties for access throughout the application - as data sources for graphic display, labels, status checking, etc.
I was wondering if there were real examples of this from users who had handled something like this in the past. From this, I chose googled, and I continue to get a mixed bag of results regarding what I should do, and I hate just programming and "let things fall into place." I need a direction.
Edit for clarity: Data sources will be:
- Local files (most likely xml),
- Local sql,
- Deleted json data,
- Remotely acquired sql.
Types of subsystems (limited list, for illustrative purposes only):
- Connection statuses - both bool and text,
- Graphing / Gridview Data Sources,
- Processing / Predictive methods (e.g. probability distribution, etc.)
- General statistical profiles based on customer / department,
- General statistical profiles based on date / time / intervals,
- more details ...
As I said, many of these sources can be used in collaboration to update data segments if necessary (which is likely to happen). One part of the information can be used in several systems, but there will be cases when the sample will be very specific for one point.
