Does Apple use UICollectionView in iOS app switch?

I am trying to implement a way to switch between views (maps with content) similar to Apple 's iOS app switcher . The one that appears when the user double-clicks the Home button.

What technology is used there? Is this UICollectionViewwith custom layout? Does anyone know something about this?
