Xamarin - How to disable or filter application output?

When creating an application in Xamarin, I use the output of the application for debugging. This journal receives spam in hundreds of the same messages that I do not want to see.

How can I disable or filter specific messages from this log?

Believe it or not, this cannot be done in the Xamarin Application Output widow. You can do this in Device Monitor. In Xamarin, go to Tools-> Device Monitor and check LogCat. There you can filter by journal type or whatever phrase you want.
