Quick selection of documents from a local device with a controller

Question

I was looking for a class or tutorial in order to present the user with such a controller as UIImagePickerViewControllerfor local documents on the device, such as pdf, text, Doc, etc., but no luck.

Can someone point me in the right direction.

I know about UIDocumentPickerViewController, which gives you import from iCloud, this is not what I am looking for.

As far as I know, mr jobs did not like this idea, read here , since I know that there is no direct way to view files, for example, on Android, I hope this helps.
