Unable to create UWP in release mode

I have a project that works well in debug mode, but doesn’t work at all in release mode.

The solution contains 3 projects

  • General project

  • windows phone 8.1 project

  • UWP Project

I also got into a very similar problem. I had a type of, say, Foo, referencing the winmd type of Windows.UI.Xaml.Visibility, see below.
