Angular 2 vs. reaction

I am currently reading over the Internet looking for a new favorite external technology . I recently started learning AngularJS 1.x, and I came across discussions with some friends saying that they disconnected before React due to the slow development of Angulars . I have to say that I like Angular, but I'm not sure React is killing Angular slowly (read everywhere on the Internet) due to this development progress.

Going through various blogs, people are also confused by some radical changes to Angular 2, as well as stopping support for legacy browsers. In fact, the reaction does provide some nice features, such as virtual DOM and React Native , for mobile development. Angular, on the other hand, works closely with the Ionic infrastructure in terms of mobile development. Therefore, I am not sure that if ionic (since it has become incredibly fast), it will also be "killed" by the reaction (Native).

The question at the end is to be clear (perhaps for some experienced Angular developers here):

What do you think of Angular 2.0 ? Should you be called a good follower of Angular 1.x , and you think that he will maintain a good base or get it (say, like many others on the Internet) slowly killed by reaction?

Please note: I know that everyone has their own preferences. But in this regard, I would really like to know if Angular 2.0 is worth a try (since I'm new to Angular 1.x) in case of performance, etc. (Although Angular 2.0 is currently in Beta), or if I should try to answer?
