Error commenting code

great coders. I get an error message. The error is as follows:

I used to have controls with the identifiers # datepicker1 and # datepicker2, after which I decided not to need them anymore, so I deleted them in the code and deleted the Javascript that manipulated them.

It is strange that this code works in Debug, but it throws an exception when deploying and starting from the server.

This will only comment on JavaScript, not the ASP.NET tag. I would just use source control and delete the rows.
