Elm IDE (Elm Editor and Browser)

Hi, I am looking for a elm split-screen IDE. Just an editor on one side and a browser on the other, working knit. I know that I can position vi in a text window and in a browser in another window, but it takes time and hesitates, I always have to configure and find these screens after watching the video. Is there a simple simple IDE that I can run for this. The elm online site is good ( http://elm-lang.org/try ), but I lose my code when I leave the website. Ideally, I would like to run an elm reactor with an online editor on my machine. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There is an Elm Plug-in for LightTable that you might like. The demo shows that you can have tabs for editing code and tabs for launching a web browser, all in the LightTable IDE .

You can also configure the Atom editor to launch a web browser in a separate tab. There is an Atom Elm Plugin that will give you syntax highlighting and Elm Oracle support .

There are several online editors, but they are really only good for small pieces of Elm code, useful for testing and sharing small ideas, but nothing more.

  • Ellie - This allows you to import any public package by editing the html that wraps the Elm example, as well as links and forks examples.
  • elm-lang.org/try - , . , StartApp
  • share-elm.com - gists. 2016-01-20 0.16 Elm, .

, ElmCast elm-vim Vim elm-mode Emacs, Elm Oracle, Elm. -, .

... and there is Elm Plugin for complex IDEs from Jetbrains, such as IntelliJ, WebStorm, etc.

https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/8192-elm-language-plugin

Most of them are commercial software, but there is an open source version from IntelliJ: IntelliJ Community Edition, as well as free licenses for education and OSS projects.

For writing Elm, I like Atom Editor with the language-elm, elm-oracle and linter-elm-make plugins.
