Can I copy the Android keystore?

Question

Android supports cloud and local backup of APK files, application data, etc. Is the keystore store included in the backup?

(I don’t think that you can retrieve secret keys from hardware-supported storage even in root devices, not so sure about the software based on the version, used in the absence of hardware support.)
