Does ES6 promises include the need for async.js methods?

With the introduction of http://es6-features.org/#PromiseUsage in ES6, https://github.com/caolan/async are still relevant? Do async.waterfall and async.series provide any advantage over promises?

Yes and no. Asynchronous functions make it easy to prepare it for you, rather than building it yourself, and async still works everywhere. ES6 promises are pretty good. They allow you to do a lot, and in combination with the proposed ES7 async / wait, they can remove the need for a package together depending on how it will be implemented in the future.
