Is there a way to deliberately slow down IntelliSense?

I have a large C # source file (~ 5k lines) that I am trying to argue. I don’t always add or remove curly braces, but when I do this, IntelliSense is too excited to populate the Error List panel with error messages. Although this does not cause more than a slow pulse, I find it annoying, as after a moment I corrected the excess {or missing }, and the number goes down.

I know that if I move the focus from the error list panel, it will not be a problem, but I prefer to keep it on the screen. Is there a way to slow down the IntelliSense update cycle?
