We use the free free service for free use and open source projects. We have not been able to use the service in the last two months or so. Before the service crashes, we had half a dozen or so good analyzes.
Sending scan results:
Last build status: failed. Your build failed due to the following reason. Correct the error and download the assembly again. Error Details :: Failed to load tar file
Cover is very good with respect to the direction of copying / pasting, and we copied / pasted them religiously. We checked that there were no build errors, and we checked the completion of the build using "131 C / C ++ compilation (100%) ready to parse" and ". The cov-build utility completed successfully . "
We tried to solve the problem by checking the data from this general solution provided in the "email failed" error response message. We checked or completed all of them, with the exception of number four.
We did not comply with number four, because Coverity's documentation is terrible (its exact opposite to their amazing scan service). Since there are no instructions or RTFM to read, we do not know which pens should be rotated for bin/cov-configure. We do not want to mess with him, because he worked in the past.
We also tried the following:
- using web submit form and browser
- using curl from the command line
- tarball packing
cov-int/ - packing in a zip file
cov-int/ - using all lowercase letters of the project name
- capital letter of the first letter of the project name
We always get the same message ( "Could not get tar file" ) even with a ZIP file. Recall that until 6 weeks ago everything worked fine.
