Launching images not displayed with Xcode 7

I installed startup images in the assets directory ( LaunchImage), which I also installed on the General target tab in Xcode. When the application started LaunchScreen, the default file was shown , but I read this post , and I did what it says there: leave an empty parameter Launch Screen Fileboth on the General tab and in the .plist

But instead of showing a suitable startup image from the directory or by default, I show a black screen ...

I only support iPhone and iOS 7, 8 and 9.

What can I lose?

thanks

EDIT: Could this be due to the wrong image size? For example, for iPhone Portrait Retina HD 5.5, I have a 1242 x 2208 file and a name launch_iPhone6Plus-Portrait@3x.png, is that right?

EDIT 2: This is what I have on the General tab of the target. target settings

It’s good that I noticed that when you create a new project by default, you will get LaunchScreen.storyboardas Run screen image .

But if you do not want to use LaunchScreen.storyboard, then what you do, delete LaunchScreen.storyboardand tap "Use the asset catalog . "
