Eclipse - unable to configure settings

I installed eclipse Mars.1 Release (4.5.1) and I installed the spring plugin since I always do this with a new linux installation (by the way, I am running Manjaro Linux 15.09, completely updated with KDE), but this time I ran into with a problem I’ve never seen before! Each time I go to the settings window, the right panel will not be updated according to the selected option.
Ex: when I open the settings window, if I try to expand the "General" option, the right panel will not be updated, regardless of what I select in the left panel!

Can anyone help?

I had the same problem. The reason is that Eclipse is not fully configured - some background tasks ( freezing ) were performed .

Try running Eclipse with a different version of the JRE. I have this problem with 8u60, but everything is fine (as far as possible with Eclipse) when I use 8u45.

Disable Theme - I highly recommend that everyone stop using Eclipse and switch to Intellij IDEA. Your life will be much happier.

UPD I again ran into this problem with a new workspace, so maybe it's not about the JRE version. Try to wait a few minutes, open the workspace again, it worked for me.
