JavaScript does not work in Chrome

Below is the code snippet used in the legacy application I'm working on now.

var x=confirm("Some Text");
if(x)
 //Call method A
else
// Call method B

It worked fine until a few days ago; But now it does not work in chrome, but is still good in IE.

Will there be something with a browser update?

Please, help. Thanks in advance.

Remove any ad unit extension installed on your chrome and try again. Sometimes in applications with a large user base, some users may mark pop-ups as ads. This, in turn, blocks ascent / Acknowledgment / Dialog / Warning for all users who have this extension installed.
