Material design Lite or kit for polymer starters?

Question

It appears that the Polymer Starter Kit contains more components than Material Design Lite, and is now available. Since both Google projects coincide with the Material Design philosophy, is there any reason why I will use MDL over PSK?

It seems to me that you can simply remove the page.js material and use the PSK, like Bootstrap, jQueryUI or any other css library / framework.
