Symbol / square root symbol

Question

I was wondering if the square root symbol character code is in java? That is, I want to be able to print the square root sign on the screen inside a line of other characters or as a shortcut on a button.

char[] LESS_THAN = Character.toChars(0x3c);

Basically you replace the two characters at the beginning (I forgot that they already were) with 0 and pass it to this method. I believe that 0x003c is the same value, 60, I think, but I'm probably wrong about that, and I don't think its case is case sensitive, so capital "c" should also work. Hope this helped, good luck.
