UWP application as a wcf server?

I was watching:

  • The System.ServiceModel.ServiceHost class is not available in .NET Core for UWP;
  • A duplex channel is a PlatformNotSupportedException that does not support wcf callbacks.

So, I wonder if UWP applications are only designed to work as a WCF client? Is it not possible to host the wcf service in a UWP application to make it look like a server?

The UWP application worked with limited folder access and limited capabilities.

To host a WCF service, it must act as a web server. It does not have this feature.
