C / AL How and where to start?

I come from the C # background used for programming to manage all low-level materials (microcontrollers and materials related to HW). I just changed jobs and have to learn how to program Dynamics NAV. I have never worked with a database throughout my life, so the whole learning experience has been pretty disappointing for me.

Questions:

  • Any newbie friendly site so I can learn C / AL from scratch?

  • Any website that I can go to has small projects that I can copy and find out ala CodeProject? (Some of the CodeProject products are small enough to educate beginners, although some are quite huge.)

  • Any recommended books?

  • Any tips to help me learn?
