How to handle Amazon elasticsearch service domain status?

Question

I created an elasticsearch cluster and uploaded 45 GB of data. There I tried to change the domain access policy. The domain status shows "Processing" in the last 24 hours. Is there a way to reset the access policy and why is the domain status still “Processing”?

With any configuration change, we create another set of instances and copy the data to the new search domain before we complete the previous set of instances.
