Xcode 7.1 on OSX El Capitan, iOS 7 Simulator - Should It Work?

Xcode 7.1 on OSX El Capitan, iOS 7 simulator - should this work out of the box?

To be sure, I uninstalled and reinstalled Xcode 7.1 from the app store, and I don’t see the ability to install the iOS 7.1 simulator from the settings → Downloads.

Also tried Xcode 6.4 - does not work due to lack of fast support 2.

Anyway, can I support iOS 7 for my application?

Xcode 7 does not support or support any iOS 7 simulators, but it supports iOS 7.0 as a deployment target.
