True HiDPI in IntelliJ 15

I used IntelliJ 14 with the -Dhidpi = true flag in the vmoptions file and had no problems with scaling. I just upgraded to 15 and it has “True HiDPI”, but it doesn’t seem to work on my Surface Pro 3. I decided to import my settings from my previous build, but I checked the new vmoptions file and this flag wasn’t copied. JetBrains mentions that the flag is no longer required. I looked through the settings dialogs, and the only suitable option seems to be anti-aliasing options, which by default are divided by sub-pixel (sounds great to me). Anyone have an idea how to get back to 14 year scaling? Thanks.

Try changing the setting "Override standard fonts to ..." on the tab "Appearance and behavior" => "Appearance". He scaled the menus and icons accordingly for me.

Actually, in addition to setting in

Appearance and Behavior> Appearance

You also need to change the following font settings:

  • Editor> Colors and Fonts> Font
  • Editor> Colors and Fonts> Console Font (button Apply editor font setting)

, IntelliJ DPI ( , , EAP ), , , IntelliJ 15.
