Set proxy username and password in Firefox

I can set the proxy host and port using the settings menu, but I see no way to set the username / password. When I browse, I get a message, the proxy refuses to connect. I am using squid proxy.

How to do it?

Open Firefox.

  1. In the address bar, enter about: config. A warning will appear.
  2. Click, I'll be careful. I promise! Various configuration options will appear.
  3. In the Filter field, enter network.negotiate.
  4. network.negotiate-auth.allow-proxies, . . ( , false, - ISA.)

Perhaps you should fill in the proxy value with something like below

username: password@proxy.thing.com
