I use the Google Download library to download a service pack distributed through the Android SDK manager. Creation using Eclipse / Ant, as it has not yet been ported to AS / Gradle, but any solution will help.
In API 23, Apache HTTP leaves. And I already implemented a workaround in order to get Google LVL for compilation. ( Lvl library and android marshmallows )
But the download library is much more than a beast, and I'm not sure I really want to fix the Google code - maybe just email me if necessary.
Does anyone know of a convenient drop in (-ish) replacement library or a suitable workaround?
