I am using a test file from R Markdown generated in RStudio by simply creating a new markdown file. It looks like this:
---
title: "Fillable Textbox?"
author: "The Need To Edit"
date: "Wednesday, October 21, 2015"
output: pdf_document
---
This is an R Markdown document. Markdown is a simple formatting syntax for authoring HTML, PDF, and MS Word documents. For more details on using R Markdown see <http:
When you click the **Knit** button a document will be generated that includes both content as well as the output of any embedded R code chunks within the document. You can embed an R code chunk like this:
```{r}
summary(cars)
```
You can also embed plots, for example:
```{r, echo=FALSE}
plot(cars)
```
Note that the `echo = FALSE` parameter was added to the code chunk to prevent printing of the R code that generated the plot.
My question is:
Can I create a fillable text box in PDF form?
I am working on the automation of some of my workflows, but end users may need to add comments as part of this automation. I thought a fillable text box would be a good way to maintain a standard document format and give my users some freedom. I found ways to do almost everything except adding a fillable text field, maybe I was looking for the wrong expression?
